Richard Brennan is a versatile musician originally from Rio Rico, Arizona. A trombonist, bassist, composer, and songwriter, Richard has served as a Faculty Associate in Arizona State University’s Jazz Studies program, where he directed multiple jazz ensembles and provided individual instruction.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Learning and Teaching and a Master’s degree in Music Performance with a focus in Jazz, both from Arizona State University.
With several years of experience in music education and performance, Richard has previously worked with programs such as the Nash Education Interns and the Phoenix Conservatory of Music. He is passionate about inspiring students to explore a life in music—through performance, creativity, and a deep appreciation of the art form.
Jake Krejsta is a lifelong musician born, raised, and based in Phoenix, Arizona. His passion for music began early, nurtured by both the Arizona public education system and a musically devoted family. With nearly 20 years of performance experience, Jake brings deep dedication and artistry to every aspect of his work.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion Performance from Arizona State University in 2022, studying under several of the field’s leading academic percussionists. With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Jake takes a student-centered approach to instruction. His teaching philosophy emphasizes not only artistic excellence but also empathy, personal growth, and using music as a means to positively impact the world.
Coach Morgan Lage is a proud alumna of Saguaro High School and a longtime Scottsdale resident. A four-year member of the Saguaro Band Color Guard, she developed a passion for performance and youth mentorship early on. Since graduating, she has worked extensively with teens in both educational support roles and summer camp programs.
Coach Lage has taught contemporary dance since 2017, with a focus on promoting body confidence through creative movement and live performance preparation. Known for her inventive choreography—including a memorable solo featuring a hula hoop—she looks forward to bringing fresh ideas and unique equipment choices to this year's production.
